Patty, International Ms. Leather 2014, is a butch leatherdyke, presenter, emcee, and community leader based in Toronto. With decades in leather and 25+ years in mental health services, she teaches kink skills for all experience levels and helps communities respond to mental health distress. She is founder and head of House Hawthorn and a member of the Vajra Leather Family.
Shilo (she/her) is a fierce advocate for visibility and community building, Shilo combines her DIY aesthetic with kinky functionality to design and sell creative flagging solutions, most notably, her Femme Flagging Flowers. When not in service to her sewing machine making customized hanky related items, she is busy photographing the leather, kink and sex-positive communities of the San Francisco Bay Area as she has done for over 20 years. She has exhibited her work nationally and internationally and is honored to have her images in several print publications. Her work is included in the Kinsey Institute Gallery’s permanent collection and she has a self-published catalog from her solo exhibition entitled, “I masturbate…”. She was the Director of Photography for International Ms Leather Productions, LLC from 2014-2020.
Patty & Shilo are intentionally in a multifaceted, Differently Connected (aka long distance) relationship that spans two countries. As a couple, they teach on both the relational and play/bdsm dimensions of being in Differently Connected D/s relationships as well as other devious topics.

This class will cover some concepts of what fear play is (and is not), kinds of fear play, how to stay safe, how to negotiate and craft a fear based scene, and of course, some fun and sexy demos along the way.

Through lecture and hands-on demonstrations, this workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to enhance and advance their mummification play. Topics covered will include: physical, psychological and spiritual safety measures; a review of basic skills for mummifying; how to combine mummification with other forms of play such as breath play, piercing, and stomping/trampling; expanding to materials beyond plastic wrap,and ways to capitalize on the spiritual potential for both the Top(s) and bottom(s).
