Desire Unchained is a consent-based, sex-positive, kink-affirming space created to support exploration, education, connection, and play. Our events exist to foster safety, agency, mutual respect, and personal responsibility.
All Desire Unchained events are strictly for attendees aged 21 and over.
All attendees are required to adhere to Desire Unchained’s Gender Policy as a condition of attendance.
By attending any Desire Unchained event, you confirm that you are at least 21 years of age, agree to follow our Gender Policy, and agree to uphold this Code of Conduct in full.
Failure to do so may result in removal from the event without refund and/or permanent banning from future events.
1. Consent Is Mandatory, Always
Consent is the foundation of everything we do.
- Consent must be explicit, informed, enthusiastic, and ongoing
- Consent can be withdrawn at any time, for any reason
- “No,” “Stop,” “Pause,” or safewords must be immediately honored
- Consent to one activity, person, or dynamic does not imply consent to others
- Never assume consent based on appearance, identity, relationship status, or prior interactions
Violations of consent will be treated as serious safety issues.
2. Respect for People, Bodies, and Boundaries
We expect all attendees to treat one another with respect and care.
This includes:
- Respecting physical, emotional, and psychological boundaries
- Refraining from harassment, coercion, intimidation, or manipulation
- Accepting a “no” gracefully and without pressure, retaliation, or commentary
- Using names and pronouns as requested, in alignment with our Gender Policy
- Engaging in good-faith communication, even during conflict
Disrespectful, aggressive, or dismissive behavior will not be tolerated.
3. Zero Tolerance for Harassment or Discrimination
Desire Unchained is an inclusive space within clearly defined boundaries.
Harassment or discrimination based on any protected or personal characteristic is strictly prohibited, including but not limited to:
- Gender identity or expression, as defined by our Gender Policy
- Sexual orientation
- Race, ethnicity, or nationality
- Disability, neurodivergence, or health status
- Age (within the bounds of our 21+ policy)
- Body type, appearance, or kink identity
This applies to all spaces, including classes, play areas, social spaces, and online event channels.
4. Power, Intoxication, and Responsibility
We acknowledge that kink can involve power dynamics, vulnerability, and altered states.
- All participants are responsible for monitoring their own capacity to consent
- Do not engage in negotiation or play with someone who appears unable to consent
- Substance use does not excuse boundary violations or harmful behavior
- Exploitation of power imbalances, intoxication, or emotional vulnerability is prohibited
If you are unsure, slow down, stop, and check in.
5. Play, Education, and Scene Etiquette
- Follow all posted rules, policies, and staff instructions in play spaces and classrooms
- Respect scene boundaries and do not interfere unless invited or in an emergency
- No photography, video or audio recording, or live streaming without explicit consent from all involved and event approval (this is an extremely rare case and you must seek permission from event organizers in advance)
- Some classes and demos may include edge play, intense content, or triggering material, attendee discretion is advised
Staff and/or Dungeon Facilitators reserve the right to pause or stop scenes for safety reasons.
6. Community Accountability and Reporting
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, the Gender Policy, or any event rules:
- Contact event staff or security immediately
- You may also report concerns discreetly to designated safety contacts
- Reports will be taken seriously and handled with care and confidentiality to the extent possible
Retaliation against anyone who reports a concern is strictly prohibited.
7. Enforcement and Consequences
Desire Unchained staff and organizers reserve the right to:
- Verify age and deny entry to anyone unable to confirm they are 21 or older
- Enforce adherence to the Gender Policy at all times
- Intervene in situations that compromise safety or consent
- Remove individuals from specific activities or spaces
- Eject attendees from the event without refund
- Permanently ban individuals from future events
Decisions made by event leadership are final.
8. Shared Responsibility
This community exists because of collective care.
By attending Desire Unchained, Desire Events, or any other collaboration event, you agree to:
- Take responsibility for your actions and their impact
- Engage with curiosity, compassion, and accountability
- Help create an environment where people feel safe to explore, learn, and be themselves
